JASV Language Classes for Adults
Fall Session, October to December 2018
Japanese Classes for Adults (10 Weeks, starting from 10/01/2018)

The JASV will offer up to two courses. The main textbook is Japanese for Busy People I (AJALT). The Level 1 course covers the first half of the book and Level 2, the second.

For each class, there will be one lesson a week for 10 weeks, one and a half hours per lesson. Level 1 classes start on Monday, October 1st and Level 2 on Wednesday, October 3rd, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. The fee is $160. In addition, textbooks cost approximately $32. The course may be canceled in case of low enrollment, so we ask that you please register in advance. The classes are held in St. Edmund's Hall on the campus of St. Michael's College in Colchester.

Beginning Levels 1 and 2

Description: This class is an introduction to speaking, listening, reading, and writing Japanese, with particular emphasis on the conversational patterns that occur in everyday life. Students will also be introduced to life in Japan and Japanese customs and culture.

Level 1 - Mondays, October 1st to December 10

Level 2 - Wednesdays, October 1st to December 10

(Thanksgiving day week will be closed.)

Time: 6:30 - 8:00 PM

Japanese Class for Children, Fall 2018

Class information for Beginning Japanese
Suggested age for this class: elementary school and middle school ages
Date: Sundays, September 30th to November 11th (total 7 sessions)
Time: 10:45am to 11:45am

Location: Japan America Society of Vermont (123 Ethan Allen Ave. Suite 306 Colchester, VT 05446)

Tuition per student: Depends on the number of students, but the tuition for the total 7 sessions won't exceed $57.75 per student.

Description: This class is an introduction to speaking and listening Japanese, with particular emphasis on the conversational patterns that occur in everyday life. Students will also be introduced to life in Japan and Japanese customs and culture. In this class the teacher will teach in English generally, and so students need no Japanese ability for this class.

Class information for Intermediate Japanese

Suggested age for this class: elementary school and middle school ages
Date: Sundays, September 30th to November 11th (total 7 sessions)
Time: 9:30am to 10:30am

Location: Japan America Society of Vermont (123 Ethan Allen Ave. Suite 306 Colchester, VT 05446)

Tuition per student: Depends on the number of students, but the tuition for the total 7 sessions won't exceed $57.75 per student.

Description: This class is for children who already have some ability for listening and speaking Japanese. Students will read short stories to acquire more sense of comprehension. Writing will also be a focus. In this class the teacher will teach using mostly Japanese.

Please note

*Each of the class requires a minimum of 4 students. It may be canceled if the number of students is less than 4.

* Because we offer only two classes, the level of Japanese comprehension may vary somewhat, some students may have a little and some may have more Japanese. Also, please understand that there might be students of different ages in a class.

* Please pay the total tuition on the first day of the class. (Check made out to Japan America Society of Vermont)

*Sorry, no refunds if a student misses a class.

* We will accept sign-ups until Sunday, September 23 rd , 2018..

日本語クラスのご案内 Fall 2018

初級クラス 

初歩的な日本語のリスニングとスピーキングを学びます。お子様の日本語能力は問いま せん。授業は基本的に英語を使って行います。

対象年齢:エレメンタリースクール・ミドルスクールのお子様

期間:2018年9月30日~11月11日の毎週日曜日(全7回) 

時間:10 : 45 am ~11 : 45 am  

場所:バーモント日米協会 


中級クラス 

ある程度のリスニングとスピーキングが出来るお子様が対象です。主に読み書きに力を 入れていきます。授業は基本的に日本語で進められます。

対象年齢:エレメンタリースクール・ミドルスクールのお子様

期間:2018年9月30日~11月11日の毎週日曜日(全7回) 

時間:9 : 30 am ~10 : 30 am  

場所:バーモント日米協会 


授業料

クラスの生徒数によって変動しますが、お子様一人あたりの全7回分の授業料が $57.75を超えることはありません。クラスへサインアップされた皆さまには、初回ク ラスの数日前に金額をお知らせいたします。

* 授業料は初回クラスにて一括でお支払いください。チェックの場合、宛名は Japan America Society of Vermontでお願いいたします。

* 授業を欠席される場合の授業料の払い戻しはありません。ご了承下さい。

* 1クラスの生徒数が4人に満たない場合、基本的にクラスは成立しません。 ただし、4 人以下でも申し込み者一致で希望された場合、成立させることが可能です。
